March / 2009
Italian Food and red wine were the ingredients for the idea of the [s.i.g.] race team. Ingo Gaupp and Guido Fetzer couldn’t let go of the thought to buy a Mini Cooper Works R53 for hobby tours.

April / 2009
The first [s.i.g.] race Mini arrives. A red Mini Cooper Works R53.

September / 2009
Circuit racing challenge Nürburgring RCN with Ingo Gaupp and Michael Klein

Premiere in Europe’s most favourite racing series VLN for Ingo Gaupp & Michael Klein

The fascination “24 hours Nürburgring“ puts a spell on the [s.i.g.] team. Team manager Lothar Sausemuth begins to redesign the Mini Cooper Works R53 for long-distance and the “24 hours Nürburgring” 2010.

April / 2010
To the start of the VLN season 2010 the [s.i.g.] Mini is a consistent starter for the entire season.

May / 2010
At the most famous race, the 24 hours Nürburgring, we celebrated a special success. As the only Mini Cooper the [s.i.g.] racing car crosses the finish line after a full day in the North Loop.

June / 2010
A second Mini Cooper Works R56 in white [s.i.g.] design strengthens the team.

June / 2010
The expansion of the team continues: For the transportation of the cars and to accomodate the team on the race tracks, a Mercedes Actros truck with trailer and a big tent joins the team.

August / 2010
Guido Fetzer, Ingo Gaupp and Lothar Sausemuth found the [s.i.g.] Motorsport GmbH.

August / 2010
We are competing with two Mini Cooper Works on the Nürburgring.

February / 2011
Our first [s.i.g.] Mini Cooper Works R53 (our Berta) is sold.

March / 2011
A new Mini Cooper R56 joins the team.

April / 2011
With two Mini Cooper Works R56 the [s.i.g.] Motorsport team starts into the new season.
