In the Mini-Cooper on the podium in 2011 too
Preferably we had canceled the winter out of our calendar. The [s.i.g.] Motorsports Team is eagerly awaiting the new season. The successful year 2010 proved to everyone that enthusiasm, fun and team spirit can form a great team. 3 podium finishes in the VLN und a grandiose 24 hours Nürburgring represent the accomplishments of a young team in its first season.
Team manager Lothar Sausemuth sets high goals: “We want to finish on the podium on a regular basis and want to expand our success. We have seen that we got the potential to succeed and compete on a high level. We want to keep going with our Mini-Cooper. The acknowledgement of well-established teams and racing legends like Mario Theißen proves that we are on the right track.
On March 26, 2011 the new season will start with the official test and trial runs on the Nürburgring. Once more the challenge of the North Loop begins. The first race over 4 hours will start on April 02, 2011. “I am looking forward to this day. We are finally able to see our hard work over the winter-months on the race track”, states an impatient Guido Fetzer, Managing director of the [s.i.g.].
One highlight of the race season will be the 24-hour race through the ‘green hell’ – the most fascinating of all races. A unique event in which of course we are going to take part in. The year 2010 has shown that we can achieve everything – with professionalism, fun and team spirit. All team members are expected to contribute – from driver to chef – and every single one of them is important for our success. In 2010 we have crossed the finish line – as the only Mini-team left and as a newcomer! “We don’t want to rest on this, we want to give our best – this has distinguished us in the past year and will pay off in 2011 as well”, assures Lothar Sausemuth.
